PARTICIPANTS MUST BE LOGGED IN TO TESTING SITE FOR 3 HOURS PER CLASS OR ADDITIONAL FEES WILL BE REQUIRED.

PARTICIPANTS MUST TAKE THE 3 HOUR CLASSES WITH THE SAME PROVIDER WITHIN THE RENEWAL PERIOD TO RECEIVE CREDIT.

 

$45 per 3 hour segment

 

All persons licensed by the board as cosmetologists, nail technicians and estheticians must show satisfactory evidence of twelve (12) contact hours of instruction during the preceding licensing year. At least three (3) hours of instruction shall be in sanitation or health and safety for clients. It is your professional responsibility to be well familiar with South Carolina State Laws concerning your profession. Students must take both 3 hour classes with the same provider. or they will not receive credit and no more than 6 hours can be done online, in the renwal period.

 

Safety and Sanitation in the Workplace (3 hours)

This class covers topics such as decontamination and infection control. The purpose of this course is to provide cosmetologists, nail technicians and estheticians with the information necessary to provide salon services in a safe and healthy environment.

People Skills & Salon Professionalism (3 hours)

This class covers topics such as self-concept, values, communication styles, feelings and emotions, roles versus relationships, and basic assertiveness, listening, and conflict resolution. The purpose of this course is to provide cosmetologists, nail technicians and estheticians with the information necessary to be able to distinguish between unhealthy, self-destructive, communication patterns and healthy, non-destructive, positive communication patterns.

The Charleston Cosmetology Institute is proud to offer online continuing education classes under the auspices of the South Carolina Association of Cosmetology Schools. The slate of classes provided will allow for Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians and Estheticians to take their classes online. These classes are designed to provide an additional approach in obtaining education for licensure renewal. All of our classes are verified by the University of South Carolina. We hope you find our classes engaging and interactive!

Bring 2 forms of ID. One has to be picture ID, and Nail Technician/Cosmetology License number.

All classes are $75 pre-paid or $80 at the door, if space permits. School cannot be responsible for payments when mailed 7 days or less before a class.
